Update: April 20, 2022 Milage: 2352kms Today I drove the the Typ 64 for a total of 252kms. Car ran well, lots of gusty winds today, you could see the lorrys moving all over the place. Trip went north and it was also time for a very nice coffee break at Bosse "Bildoktorn" Andersson, Swedish TV and Radio celebrity. I brought sponge cake and he and his lovely wife had fresh coffee and sweets. Bosse have many years experience at SFRO as a technical inspector, this is the organisation that checks and passes all privately built cars and motorcycles here in Sweden. Two hours of nice talks about everything!๐Ÿ˜˜ The church in the background is located in Myresjo and was finished already in year 1150 at this location.๐Ÿ’ช Bell tower to the right. Took the last pic when I stopped for sandwich and drink on my way back home. Greetings from Sweden.

We could not hold ourselfs๐Ÿ˜œ.........we took a 50kms tour before great family Easter lunch. Picture from outside Algutsboda church, this church was finished 1770. First church built at this location 1567....it was a wood church and burnt down the same year.....current church built in stone. Second picture from yesterday when we passed 2000kms.

Update April 17 2022. Total milage: 2034kms - Passed 2000kms today.๐Ÿ˜Ž I have now driven with the new Aero floor for just over 200kms. Have compared oil temp and cylinder temp with or without the floor and very little difference, feels good. Have done several back to back tests with solid results. Same route, up on the lift and same route again..............๐Ÿ˜œ After all the Aero floor test runs, I took late lunch and then a nice relaxing trip in the neighbourhood. Nice to see some people reactions, open mouth, pointing and shouting to friends or just stairing..........are the most common reactions. Picture from Oskar church built and ready 1872, earlier there was a chapel here as early as in the beginning of 1600´s. Lovely weather today, 17 degrees Celsius after lunch and hardly no wind. I still have full stud ice tire in the car............nice to have two spares. Tomorrow family day, but on Tuesday we are back on it again. Greetings from Sweden๐Ÿ˜˜ -------------------------------------

Happy Easter II My fathers first car was a Beetle 1956, my mothers first car was a Beetle 1968................it goes in the family..........๐Ÿ˜Ž Today we have my 83 year old mother over for Easter lunch, but first we took the Typ 64 for a spin.๐Ÿฅฐ

Happy Easter!๐Ÿ˜˜ I wish everyone a great weekend together with friends and family. -------------------------------------------------------------- Update: April 14, 2022 We hope to test the Typ 64 in a windtunnel later this year. The long planned Aero floor is now ready, made this in order to test lift forces with and without the flat floor. It is just mounted with a few screws so easy and fast to remove and mount back on. At this point we have no plans for Bonneville........but 200km/h would be nice to run in the future with the new engine being built. I have tested up to 164km/h (GPS) with current engine and it was surprisingly stable, this was without the Aero floor. -------------------------------------------------------------- Glad Pรฅsk!๐Ÿ˜˜ Jag รถnskar alla en fin lรฅnghelg tillsammans med med vรคnner och familj. -------------------------------------------------------------- For more info: https://www.facebook.com/Jorgen.Andersson4 -------------------------------------------------------

My friend since more than 40 years, Tomas Leijon came by today, we have not seen each other for many years, it was a very fun and interesting reunion, so many memories! Tomas took delivery this Friday of a brand new McLaren GT and took this route on his way back to Stockholm. Congrats to a very nice car, I wish you a lot of fun with it the coming years.๐Ÿฅณ We just had to take a picture with the McLaren GT and the Typ 64. 80 years car development between the two. Here is another very nice pic of the Typ 64, with the Porsche script in the nose during the Porsche ownership. On the enclosed Porsche document you can see at this point, September 1938, the Porsche Typ 64 and VW 60K10 is now the same car/project.๐Ÿ˜˜

This batch of Speedster seats are now sold. If you are in the market for seats, we suggest to pre order for the next batch, production is very limited and demand very irregular.๐Ÿ˜˜ Early June is the estimate for the next batch of Speedster seats. ----------------------------------------------------------- Nu รคr Speedster stolarna slut fรถr denna gรฅng. Om du behรถver stolar i framtiden sรฅ rekommenderar vi att du fรถrbestรคller infรถr nรคsta serie, tillverkningen รคr begrรคnsad och efterfrรฅgan gรฅr i vรฅgor.๐Ÿ˜˜ I bรถrjan pรฅ juni รคr planen att nรคsta serie ska vara klar.

Another fantastic spring day, 14 degress, no wind, sunny and not a cloud in the sky! It was time for a Typ 64 drive in the beautiful weather.๐Ÿ˜˜ We drove for 45 minutes and then down to the old local train station Eskilsryd. The buildings are being restored by local train entusiasts. Car runs really well and a new personal Top Speed record of 164km/h was recorded! (GPS).๐Ÿ˜Ž Very stable at that speed, I am positivly surprised how it feels at high speed. Total milage since car was finished is now 1734kms. On our way to the SFRO technical inspection October 2021. This was the first longer trip, 253 kms and half of it in rain. This week it finally arrived!๐Ÿ˜˜ The fantastic Teak Wood Model of the Porsche Typ 64 I ordered long time ago. Made by Japanese artist Norimitsu Takahashi. The model scale is 1:12 and that makes the wheelbase 200mm and lenght 345mm. One piece solid teak, weight is 1.6kgs......... It is beautifully crafted and the Teak shines so nice in the light. Norimitsu makes many car models like Gmund 356 and others. He is popular and have a long waiting list. Thank you very much Norimitsu!

Today we have Day 64 of 2022!๐Ÿ˜˜ A great time to take out the Porsche Typ 64 for a drive. Today we drove for Ukraine. Sunny with clear skyes and almost no wind, perfect conditions. We drove 85kms in total, testing a new intercom system to use in the noisy car, it was promising, small adjustments needed. We brought lunch, today Gulasch soup with bread and coffee. Tasted wonderful at the stop at Vissefjarda church, first church at this location built around year 1320. Total milage now: 1617kms Car runs very good, 110-120km/h is just fine cruising speed on good roads. Here we have the worlds first two cars badged as Porsche, by Porsche. The location is Innsbruck 11 July 1948, please see attached pic of poster. The Porsche 356 was driven by Ferrys cousin Herbert Kaes and for the Porsche Typ 64, there are two names, Ferry Porsche and Otto Mathe. I imagine the drivers could have been changed between the runs. The two Porsches was driven between races as show and demonstration runs, see hats in the pic.

Today, January 31, it was sunny with clear skys, no wind, dry roads and low traffic, perfect for a Typ 64 drive on the countryside.๐Ÿ˜‰ Trip took about 2 hours and amongs other things, did a photo session at the old Yo-Yo factory about 15kms from us. Very nice scenery for vintage cars, with their old buildings. Total milage today was 77kms and the Typ 64 have now been driven 1532kms in total. Car runs well and feels really nice on the road, good contact feeling in the steering wheel. 100-120km/h on the mainroads work really well for transportation. It runs so light in through the air, its a great feeling.๐Ÿ˜˜ For more info: https://www.facebook.com/Jorgen.Andersson4 ---------------------------------------------------------- VW60K10 - Porsche Typ 64 - Berlin-Rome Rekordwagen - 38/43 Otto Mathรฉ recreation.
