It was time for a longer test session with the Porsche Typ 64 after some changes. Picture taken at one of the local churches, bell tower in the background. Softer shocks in front, car is so light, around 600kgs so it has been too stiff, now it really feels nice with good balance. Newly built more open exhaust with equal length manifold from each cylinder inside an old VW muffler. Sounds better and feels the same. Newly designed fresh air intake system that can be adjusted 0-100%. Not much air comes in by the door windows and I did make a rudimentary system when car was finished. This feels so much better, more test to follow. Read the blog on our Typ 64 here: https://rekordwagen.blogspot.com/

It was time to warm up the old Porsche 356A. I try to do this every 6th week or so, but I am not slave under it. Its fun with the shorter wheelbase on the 356A, 2100mm compared to Typ 64 and Beetle at 2400mm, steering is quicker. Stable winter here now for a few days, very nice to drive on these frozen roads.

Last drive with the old Oval 1957 Beetle was on part muddy gravel roads, today almost prefect winter roads with great snow quality, lots of good grip in order to have great fun.😉 The slightly tuned 30/36hp engine runs great, had to turn the heat down after a while, it was too warm in the cockpit. This snow should last only for days, so hopefully some more trips in the near future.😘 I have soft rubber studded tires, lots of grip and easy to control the slides. Yesterday is was clear blue skyes, sunny and 10 degrees, today the same but 8 degrees. Took the old Oval 1957 for a spin, did run well on empty roads. Founds this mini museum along the road, this truck has been used to lift and also crack large stones. Must have been hard work but also a big improvement when they got this piece of machinery. In this area we a lot of stones that the ice sheet/glacier brought here and when it melted, about 10000 years ago, stones everywhere.🤨 Next stop was a house in the middle of nowhere, been here before but to much snow then, now I could walk behind the little barn...........and found an old Super Beetle 1303S that was very tired.......must have been here many years. After this little stop it was time for some gravel roads, nice and dry to start with......but after while really wet and muddy.😉 After just a few kms the road was blocked, two guys working in the timber industry was stuck after turning too tight at a cross road. They had 4WD with large
