The solid winter is still on here in Sweden.πŸ₯° Very nice gravel roads to enjoy in the old Beetle Oval 1957. The fresh rubber, studded tires have fantastic bite, car is easy to control and is also very pleasent to drive.πŸ˜‰ Here we have some pics and a video from todays trip. It was followed by hot chocolate and gingerbread, felt really good after this little adventure. Season Greetings from Sweden https://rekordwagen.blogspot.com/

Solid winter here in Sweden, nature is beautiful and the roads extra interesting to drive on days like this. Took the Typ 64 for a spin in the lovely sunshine, runs really stable on the skinny tires, very easy to control. It has the same wheelbase as a Beetle, 2400mm. About 40hp and 600kgs is plenty on a day like this.πŸ˜‰ During 2022 we have driven the Typ 64 about 4000kms in total. Hopefully many more days like this, soon day 356.......we always try to drive our 356A on that day. Seasons Greetings from Sweden😘 Read more on the history of our Typ 64 here: https://rekordwagen.blogspot.com/

Took the Oval into town to collect some shipments that had arrived today. Just a tiny amount of snow, but still great fun. Fantastic bite in these new winter tires that are studded.😘 (Please see earlier posts for details, if interested) I really like driving my cars in the snow, see pic of the Typ 64 from last winter. Please also see pic of the Ice Racing tires I have, these are 3x16". It was some people upset at Samba yesterday.......on driving your cars all year, I love it.πŸ˜‰

Weather is really nice and stable at the moment. I took a long drive to test the newly mounted studded winther tires. They feel just great, I am impressed by the amount of traction. Rubber compound is really soft. Not many cars with RWD these days.......especially together with rear mounted engine. Car runs well, nice with the newly mounted heat exchangers.πŸ˜‰

The new winter wheels are now ready and mounted on the Oval 1957. Typical Nordic winter tires with studs and really soft rubber. 4" wide rims and 165x15 tires. 14mm spacers in front and 25mm at the rear. These tires can also be used on the 356A and the Typ 64. This should be fine when/if the real winter arrives.πŸ˜‰
