This is the sum up of the Halmstad Sports Car Event that I posted on several VW/Porsche pages.
---------------------------------
We did show our Typ 64 car to the public for the first time this Saturday on the Halmstad Sports Car Event.
This show is located in the southwest of Sweden, 20 meters from the Atlantic ocean.
It was a fantastic response to the VW/Porsche oldspeed car and many, many of the 8000 visitors had great knowledge in the early VW/Porsche history, many of them was well into the Typ 64 scene.
Full capacity with 350 sports cars from the 1930´s up to modern ones, great spectrum.
We had visitors asking questions for 7 hours without stop, on Sunday we had to recover our voices after all the talk.😎
We had made an info sign with basic info and pics from the Typ 64 history, very much appreciated.
Many fantastic cars on the show, like this modern Koenigsegg with 1500hp and 345mm wide tires, our Typ 64 only have 40hp and 125mm wide tires................3x Gullwing Mercedes and many, many other fine classics........
But we went up on the stage 2 times for interviews and and we won 1st award in the "Best Special Car category" so at least we stole the show!
Great interest, we are very pleased, thank you all!😘

VW60K10/Porsche Typ64/Berlin - Rome wagen - 38/43 Mathé recreation Some of you have asked for more details on this Typ 64 replica built. Here are some more info and pictures from the now 8 years long built since we decided to go ahead. It is built in aluminum as the original, three of these cars was built by Reutter 1939-40 and only one of them still exists today. The three cars were intended for a race between Berlin and Rome. The race was cancelled due to WWII. Pictures shows some stages of the built, models made for testing and the wood buck.
