We still have meteorological summer here in the southeast of Sweden, but today it was very windy and colors are really autumn.
It was time for service after our 4000 kms holiday trip in Norway, on the old Oval Beetle, see earlier posts from that trip.
Valve adjustment, all exhaust needed a slight adjustment, oil change in engine and gearbox, grease, set ignition, new sparkplugs, rotor, cap, condenser and points.
All original Bosch parts.
These parts was last changed 12000kms ago.
I also mounted red Konis at rear, set at the hardest.
Car felt really good after some minor carb adjustments.
Hopefully we can have several more nice days for classic car trips this year.😉
VW60K10/Porsche Typ64/Berlin - Rome wagen - 38/43 Mathé recreation Some of you have asked for more details on this Typ 64 replica built. Here are some more info and pictures from the now 8 years long built since we decided to go ahead. It is built in aluminum as the original, three of these cars was built by Reutter 1939-40 and only one of them still exists today. The three cars were intended for a race between Berlin and Rome. The race was cancelled due to WWII. Pictures shows some stages of the built, models made for testing and the wood buck.
