Idag en liten fika tur till Duvemåla. Härifrån fick Vilhelm Moberg inspiration till sin bok Utvandrarna. Abba musikalen " Kristina från Duvemåla" är inspirerad från denna miljö. Sommarfiket öppnar snart med goda våfflor och äppelpaj. Staty av Kristina bakom bilen. 356 rullar på bra men kan behöva ett nytt batteri.....detta har hållit i 12 år, ganska bra för ett 6v batteri i gammelbil. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Today a short trip with Swedish fika to the small village of Duvemala. ABBA written musical "Kristina from Duvemala" is inspired by this part of Sweden. Soon the little coffe shop will open with waffels and apple pie. Statue of Kristina behind the car. 356 runs well but could use a new battery......this one is 12 years old, pretty good for a 6v battery in a classic.

Here are some more info and pictures from the now 8 years long built since we decided to go ahead. It is built in aluminum as the original, three of these cars was built by Reutter 1939-40 and only one of them still exists today. The three cars were intended for a race between Berlin and Rome. The race was cancelled due to WWII. Pictures shows some stages of the built, models made for testing and the wood buck.

Third recreation drive this week in the Typ 64. Nearly 4000 kilometers now in this car since finished. Very nice and mild autumn so far. Todays drive was also mainly on gravel roads, one stretch was newly sufaced and very loose on top, great fun.😎 Here are some pics from today and also a fantastic pic from the early 1940´s. Early KDF Beetles.....and look at the end of the right row...........😉 ------------------------------------------------ Tredje rekreationsresan den här veckan i Typ 64. Nästan 4000 kilometer nu i den här bilen sedan den blev klar. Mycket fin och mild höst än så länge. Dagens körning gick också främst på grusvägar, en sträcka var ny sladdad och väldigt lös på ytan, jättekul.😎 Här är några bilder från idag och även en fantastisk bild från tidigt 1940-tal.
