Here we have latest issue of Swedish Classic Car magazine Klassiker. Our Typ 64 is on the cover and inside you will find a 10-page long article. I plan to make a basic translation to English in the near future, for those who might be interested. Lots on our Typ 64 recreation, but also a good deal on the history of these very special cars. This was a very professional job with one reporter, one photografer, a long day with lots of driving at this old airfield that we had for ourselfs.😘 Drones with camera, remote controlled cameras mounted on the hood of a modern car, and lots of other tricks out of my knowledge.😉 Big thank you to all involved in this project!!!!🥰🥰 Greetings från Sweden😘 ------------------------------------------------------- Här har vi senaste numret av tidningen Klassiker. Myc

Two years ago, the Typ 64 body getting its final work. Rear decklid, hinge, frame and skin was time consuming.😎 --------------------------------------------------------- VW60K10/Porsche Typ64/Berlin - Rome wagen - 38/43 Mathé recreation Some updates on the built of the VW60K10/Typ64 car. Have been working on the wheel covers/spats with good fit and also making the fastners, took a lot of time but it was worth it. We have also worked on the engine lid with frame, skin and hinges. Hinge geometry was a challenge, very sensitive to bind if you don´t get the angles correct. The hinges was TIG welded and it all seems to work fine now. Also very tight with space around the left side air cleaner, the Mathé car has cut the cleaners in order to get them to fit, we will try to avoid this little design flaw. Next up is to fit the engine lid skin to the frame and get a nice gap of 3.5 mm all around, this will take some time, but front lid and doors are done so we know the drill. After that the pla

10cm (4") of new snow.........time to take the old Beetle Oval 1957 for a spin on frozen gravel roads. Great weather with strong sunshine and beautiful scenery with all the snow in the trees. Fresh, soft rubber and spike tires makes the driving very fun, this time with full tank of fuel, 35 kgs extra over the front wheels, that makes the front end slightly stronger with less understeer.😘 Car is fairly easy to control during oversteer, good bite in the spike tires. Co driver suffered from motion sickness after while.........time for coffee and egg sandwich, that cures almost everything.😄 Greetings from Sweden

------------------------------------------------------- Lovely clear and sunny day. The old 356A needed to be run, two month since last time. It felt good to use the brakes and others, well needed. Took a trip to an abandoned shed nearby, still no sign of the missing Gmund coupe that I still hope to find.......😎 Dry roads and not a lot of traffic, it was a good hour behind the wheel.
